Dear Members of the YCDSB Catholic learning community,
The Board of Trustees and the Senior Staff Team are writing to thank you for your ongoing support and input into the YCDSB’s Multi-Year Financial Recovery Plan (MYFRP) and to provide an update on its implementation.
The MYFRP report recently presented at our August Board meeting, communicated that the YCDSB has maintained progress to date and is currently on track to eliminate its deficit within the timelines laid out at the start of this process.
There is still much work to be done. The Board of Trustees and the Senior Team are working collaboratively to meet our budget challenges while continuing to prioritize student achievement, Catholic faith, equity, inclusion and well-being.
Trustees remain dedicated to transparency and accountability to our community. We want you to know that monthly updates on the MYFRP’s progress will now be included in Regular Board Meeting agendas (you can click here to view board agendas). The first update will be posted by Friday evening in the September 30, 2025, Regular Board Meeting agenda.
